So assakassa visaye, aḷakassa [muḷakassa (syā.), mūḷhakassa (ka.), maḷakassa (niddesa)] samāsane;

Vasi godhāvarīkūle, uñchena ca phalena ca.

984.

Tasseva upanissāya, gāmo ca vipulo ahu;

Tato jātena āyena, mahāyaññamakappayi.

985.

Mahāyaññaṃ yajitvāna, puna pāvisi assamaṃ;

Tasmiṃ paṭipaviṭṭhamhi, añño āgañchi brāhmaṇo.

986.

Ugghaṭṭapādo tasito [tassito (ka.)], paṅkadanto rajassiro;

So ca naṃ upasaṅkamma, satāni pañca yācati.

987.

Tamenaṃ bāvarī disvā, āsanena nimantayi;

Sukhañca kusalaṃ pucchi, idaṃ vacanamabravi.

『『Yaṃ kho mama deyyadhammaṃ, sabbaṃ visajjitaṃ mayā;

Anujānāhi me brahme, natthi pañcasatāni me』』.

『『Sace me yācamānassa, bhavaṃ nānupadassati;

Sattame divase tuyhaṃ, muddhā phalatu sattadhā』』.

Abhisaṅkharitvā kuhako, bheravaṃ so akittayi;

Tassa taṃ vacanaṃ sutvā, bāvarī dukkhito ahu.

Ussussati anāhāro, sokasallasamappito;

Athopi evaṃ cittassa, jhāne na ramatī mano.

992.

Utrastaṃ dukkhitaṃ disvā, devatā atthakāminī;

Bāvariṃ upasaṅkamma, idaṃ vacanamabravi.

『『Na so muddhaṃ pajānāti, kuhako so dhanatthiko;

Muddhani muddhapāte vā, ñāṇaṃ tassa na vijjati』』.

『『Bhotī carahi jānāsi, taṃ me akkhāhi pucchitā;

Muddhaṃ muddhādhipātañca, taṃ suṇoma vaco tava』』.

『『Ahampetaṃ na jānāmi, ñāṇamettha na vijjati;

Muddhani muddhādhipāte ca, jinānaṃ hettha [muddhaṃ muddhādhipāto ca, jinānaṃ heta (sī. syā. pī.)] dassanaṃ』』.

Sabbakammakkhayaṃ patto, vimutto upadhikkhaye.

『『Buddho so bhagavā loke, dhammaṃ deseti cakkhumā;

Taṃ tvaṃ gantvāna pucchassu, so te taṃ byākarissati』』.

Sambuddhoti vaco sutvā, udaggo bāvarī ahu;

Sokassa tanuko āsi, pītiñca vipulaṃ labhi.

1001.

So bāvarī attamano udaggo, taṃ devataṃ pucchati vedajāto;

『『Katamamhi gāme nigamamhi vā pana, katamamhi vā janapade lokanātho;

Yattha gantvāna passemu [gantvā namassemu (sī. syā. pī.)], sambuddhaṃ dvipaduttamaṃ』』 [dvipaduttamaṃ (sī. syā. pī.)],.

『『Sāvatthiyaṃ kosalamandire jino, pahūtapañño varabhūrimedhaso;

So sakyaputto vidhuro anāsavo, muddhādhipātassa vidū narāsabho』』.

Tato āmantayī sisse, brāhmaṇe mantapārage;

『『Etha māṇavā akkhissaṃ, suṇātha vacanaṃ mama.

1004.

『『Yasseso dullabho loke, pātubhāvo abhiṇhaso;

Svājja lokamhi uppanno, sambuddho iti vissuto;

Khippaṃ gantvāna sāvatthiṃ, passavho dvipaduttamaṃ』』.

1005.

『『Kathaṃ carahi jānemu, disvā buddhoti brāhmaṇa;

Ajānataṃ no pabrūhi, yathā jānemu taṃ mayaṃ』』.

波羅延品 序偈 從迷人的拘薩羅國,他前往南方; 這位精通咒語的婆羅門,追尋無所有。 他在阿薩卡地區,阿拉卡的鄰近; 住在果達瓦利河岸,以拾穗與果實為生。 依靠他的居住,村落變得興旺; 以此所得收入,舉行了大祭祀。 完成大祭祀后,他又回到精舍; 當他剛剛回返時,另一婆羅門來訪。 腳步疲憊口渴,牙齒沾泥發蓬亂; 他走近婆婆利,乞求五百錢幣。 婆婆利見他至,邀請其就座; 問候平安健康,說出這番話。 "我所有可施之物,已全部佈施; 請原諒我婆羅門,我無五百錢。" "如果對我的請求,您不予施與; 七日之內必定,你頭裂七塊。" 詭計多端的騙子,說出恐怖詛咒; 聽聞這些話語,婆婆利憂愁。 不食而日漸憔悴,為憂箭所中; 即便心如此狀,靜慮亦無樂。 見他驚恐痛苦,一位善意天神; 走近婆婆利前,說出這番話。 "他不知頭為何,只是貪財者; 關於頭與頭破,他毫無智慧。" "尊者若真知曉,請為我解說; 何為頭與頭破,愿聞您教誨。" "我也不知此事,我無此智慧; 關於頭與頭破,唯勝者知見。" "那麼究竟是誰,在這大地上; 知曉頭與頭破,請告訴我天神。" "從迦毗羅衛城(今尼泊爾藍毗尼),出世世間導師; 甘蔗王的後裔,釋迦族之子,光明之主。" "他是正等覺者,通達一切法; 具足神通力,于諸法具眼; 滅盡一切業,解脫諸執取。" "彼佛世尊在世間,具眼者說法; 你去向他請教,他必為你解答。" 聽聞"正等覺"言,婆婆利歡喜; 憂愁漸漸消退,獲得廣大喜。 婆婆利心滿意足歡喜,生起智慧問天神; "在哪個村鎮城市中,在哪片土地上有世間導師; 我們該往何處去,瞻仰兩足尊最上正等覺。" "勝者住舍衛城(今印度北方邦斯拉瓦斯提)憍薩羅國, 具廣大智慧最勝聰睿; 他是釋迦之子無漏者, 知曉頭破之事人中牛。" 於是他召集弟子,通曉咒語的婆羅門; "來吧年輕人們,我說你們聽。 "世間難得見,其數數現世; 今日出現於世間,名聲遠揚為正覺; 速往舍衛城,得見兩足尊。" "我們如何得知,見到是佛陀婆羅門; 我等不知請告知,如何得知是他。"

Dvattiṃsāni ca [dvittiṃsā ca (sī. syā. pī.), dvittiṃsa tāni (?)] byākkhātā, samattā anupubbaso.

『『Yassete honti gattesu, mahāpurisalakkhaṇā;

Dveyeva tassa gatiyo, tatiyā hi na vijjati.

Bhadrāvudho udayo ca, posālo cāpi brāhmaṇo;

Mogharājā ca medhāvī, piṅgiyo ca mahāisi.

Paccekagaṇino sabbe, sabbalokassa vissutā;

Jhāyī jhānaratā dhīrā, pubbavāsanavāsitā.

Bāvariṃ abhivādetvā, katvā ca naṃ padakkhiṇaṃ;

Jaṭājinadharā sabbe, pakkāmuṃ uttarāmukhā.

Aḷakassa patiṭṭhānaṃ, purimāhissatiṃ [purimaṃ māhissatiṃ (sī. pī.), puraṃ māhissatiṃ (syā.)] tadā;

Ujjeniñcāpi gonaddhaṃ, vedisaṃ vanasavhayaṃ.

Kosambiñcāpi sāketaṃ, sāvatthiñca puruttamaṃ;

Setabyaṃ kapilavatthuṃ, kusinārañca mandiraṃ.

Pāvañca bhoganagaraṃ, vesāliṃ māgadhaṃ puraṃ;

Pāsāṇakaṃ cetiyañca, ramaṇīyaṃ manoramaṃ.

Tasitovudakaṃ sītaṃ, mahālābhaṃva vāṇijo;

Chāyaṃ ghammābhitattova, turitā pabbatamāruhuṃ.

Bhagavā tamhi samaye, bhikkhusaṅghapurakkhato;

Bhikkhūnaṃ dhammaṃ deseti, sīhova nadatī vane.

Ajito addasa buddhaṃ, sataraṃsiṃ [vītaraṃsiṃva (syā.), sataraṃsīva (ka.), pītaraṃsīva (niddesa)] va bhāṇumaṃ;

Candaṃ yathā pannarase, pāripūriṃ upāgataṃ.

Athassa gatte disvāna, paripūrañca byañjanaṃ;

Ekamantaṃ ṭhito haṭṭho, manopañhe apucchatha.

『『Ādissa jammanaṃ [jappanaṃ (ka.)] brūhi, gottaṃ brūhi salakkhaṇaṃ [brūhissa lakkhaṇaṃ (niddesa)];

Mantesu pāramiṃ brūhi, kati vāceti brāhmaṇo』』.

『『Vīsaṃ vassasataṃ āyu, so ca gottena bāvarī;

Tīṇissa lakkhaṇā gatte, tiṇṇaṃ vedāna pāragū.

Pañcasatāni vāceti, sadhamme pāramiṃ gato』』.

Pucchañhi kiñci asuṇanto, sutvā pañhe viyākate;

Vicinteti jano sabbo, vedajāto katañjalī.

『『Ko nu devo vā brahmā vā, indo vāpi sujampati;

Manasā pucchite pañhe, kametaṃ paṭibhāsati.

『『Muddhaṃ muddhādhipātañca, bāvarī paripucchati;

Taṃ byākarohi bhagavā, kaṅkhaṃ vinaya no ise』』.

『『Avijjā muddhāti jānāhi, vijjā muddhādhipātinī;

Saddhāsatisamādhīhi, chandavīriyena saṃyutā』』.

"在聖典中已說明,大人相的特徵; 完整地依次說明,三十二種相。 "若人身上具足,這些大人相; 只有兩種去處,第三則不存。 "若居住在家中,必能統領大地; 不用刑罰武器,以正法來治理。 "若他選擇出家,離俗入無家; 揭開遮蔽正覺,成無上應供。 "關於生族相貌,及經典弟子事; 頭顱與頭破事,且用心意發問。 "若他是佛陀時,具無障礙見; 心意所問之事,必以言語解答。" 聽聞婆婆利言,十六婆羅門; 阿耆多帝須彌多,富樓那與彌多求。 度多迦優波私婆,難陀以及醯摩迦; 都提耶雙迦巴,聰慧的阇都干耳。 跋陀羅浮陀耶,還有婆羅門波娑羅; 聰慧的目犍連,及大仙人賓耆耶。 各自都有追隨者,名聲傳遍世間; 禪修樂於靜慮,皆具宿世善習。 向婆婆利禮敬,右繞禮畢后; 身披結鬃皮衣,向北方而去。 經阿拉卡城,當時至摩醯沙提(今印度中央邦曼德索爾); 又至郁阇尼(今印度中央邦吳賈因)和瞿那達,毗提舍與林城。 經拘睒毗和娑雞多,最勝城舍衛(今印度北方邦斯拉瓦斯提); 設多毗耶迦毗羅衛(今尼泊爾藍毗尼),至拘尸那迦羅(今印度北方邦庫希那加爾)。 經波婆富饒城,毗舍離摩揭陀(今印度比哈爾邦); 至巴薩那迦塔,那令人心喜之處。 如口渴求冷水,如商人求大利; 如暑熱求樹蔭,他們急登山峰。 那時候世尊在,比丘僧眾前首; 為比丘說法音,如林中獅子吼。 阿耆多見佛陀,如百光照耀日; 又如十五月圓,圓滿無缺時。 見到他身相,及圓滿相好; 歡喜立一旁,心意發問詢。 "請說他年壽幾何,姓氏相貌為何人; 通達幾多聖典教,授徒弟子有幾多?" "壽有一百二十歲,其姓為婆婆利; 身上具三種相,通達三吠陀。 "于相書歷史,及字彙聲明; 教導五百人,于正法通達。" "請為我等說,婆婆利相貌, 斷除我等疑,人中最尊者。" "舌能覆面容,眉間生白毫; 陰處如馬藏,如是知青年。" 雖未聽見有問,卻聞答問語; 眾人皆思維,生智合掌立。 "是天或梵天,抑或帝釋天; 心中默問事,誰能如是答? "婆婆利所問,頭破頭為何; 請世尊解說,除我等疑惑。" "應知頭為無明,智慧能破頭; 信念與正定,精進欲相應。"

Yaññamakappayiṃsu puthūdha loke, pucchāmi taṃ bhagavā brūhi me taṃ』』.

『『Ye kecime isayo manujā, (puṇṇakāti bhagavā)

Khattiyā brāhmaṇā devatānaṃ;

Yaññamakappayiṃsu puthūdha loke, āsīsamānā puṇṇaka itthattaṃ [itthabhāvaṃ (sī. syā.)];

Jaraṃ sitā yaññamakappayiṃsu』』.

『『Ye kecime isayo manujā, (iccāyasmā puṇṇako)

Khattiyā brāhmaṇā devatānaṃ;

Yaññamakappayiṃsu puthūdha loke, kaccissu te bhagavā yaññapathe appamattā;

Atāruṃ jātiñca jarañca mārisa, pucchāmi taṃ bhagavā brūhi me taṃ』』.

於是青年以大智慧,振作起自身; 偏袒羊皮衣,頭面禮足下。 "婆婆利婆羅門,與弟子眾等; 心懷大歡喜,禮拜具眼者。" "愿婆婆利與,諸弟子安樂; 你也得安樂,長壽青年人。 "婆婆利和你,以及一切人; 所有諸疑惑,隨意皆可問。" 蒙正覺允許,合掌而安坐; 阿耆多首先,向如來發問。 序偈終 阿耆多學童之問 "何物矇蔽世間(尊者阿耆多如是說) 何故不顯現? 說何為塗著?何為大恐怖?" "無明矇蔽世間(世尊告阿耆多) 因吝嗇放逸不顯現; 我說渴愛為塗著,苦為大恐怖。" "諸流遍處流(尊者阿耆多如是說) 何物能遮流? 請說防護流,何物能止流?" "世間所有流(世尊告阿耆多) 正念能遮流; 我說護諸流,以慧能止流。" "智慧與正念(尊者阿耆多如是說) 名色尊者請; 為我解此問,此在何處滅?" "你所問之事,阿耆多我說; 名與色何處,無餘皆滅盡; 因識之滅盡,此處得滅盡。" "已通達諸法,及諸學處者; 請為我解說,賢者如何行?" "不應貪諸欲,心意應清凈; 善巧一切法,具念比丘行。" 阿耆多學童之問第一終 帝須彌勒學童之問 "誰在世知足(尊者帝須彌勒如是說) 誰無有動搖? 誰知曉兩端,以慧不染著中間? 誰是大丈夫,誰超越縫合?" "于欲修梵行(世尊告彌勒) 離愛常正念; 比丘經思擇得寂滅,彼無有動搖。 "彼知曉兩端,以慧不染著中間; 我說彼即是大丈夫,彼已超越縫合。" 帝須彌勒學童之問第二終 富樓那學童之問 "見無動根本者(尊者富樓那如是說) 我今帶問而來; 諸仙人凡夫,剎帝利婆羅門向諸天; 在此世間廣設祭祀,我問世尊請為說明。" "所有諸仙人凡夫(世尊告富樓那) 剎帝利婆羅門向諸天; 在此世間廣設祭祀,富樓那希求此有; 依止老而設祭祀。" "所有諸仙人凡夫(尊者富樓那如是說) 剎帝利婆羅門向諸天; 在此世間廣設祭祀,世尊他們于祭祀道不放逸; 是否度脫生與老尊者?我問世尊請為說明。"

『『Āsīsanti thomayanti, abhijappanti juhanti; (Puṇṇakāti bhagavā)

Kāmābhijappanti paṭicca lābhaṃ, te yājayogā bhavarāgarattā;

Nātariṃsu jātijaranti brūmi』』.

『『Te ce nātariṃsu yājayogā, (iccāyasmā puṇṇako)

Yaññehi jātiñca jarañca mārisa;

Atha ko carahi devamanussaloke, atāri jātiñca jarañca mārisa;

Pucchāmi taṃ bhagavā brūhi me taṃ』』.

『『Saṅkhāya lokasmi paroparāni [parovarāni (sī. syā.)], (puṇṇakāti bhagavā)

Yassiñjitaṃ natthi kuhiñci loke;

Santo vidhūmo anīgho nirāso, atāri so jātijaranti brūmī』』ti.

『『Dukkhassa ve maṃ pabhavaṃ apucchasi, (mettagūti bhagavā)

Taṃ te pavakkhāmi yathā pajānaṃ;

Upadhinidānā pabhavanti dukkhā, ye keci lokasmimanekarūpā.

『『Yo ve avidvā upadhiṃ karoti, punappunaṃ dukkhamupeti mando;

Tasmā pajānaṃ upadhiṃ na kayirā, dukkhassa jātippabhavānupassī』』.

『『Yaṃ taṃ apucchimha akittayī no, aññaṃ taṃ pucchāma [pucchāmi (sī. pī.)] tadiṅgha brūhi;

Kathaṃ nu dhīrā vitaranti oghaṃ, jātiṃ jaraṃ sokapariddavañca;

Taṃ me muni sādhu viyākarohi, tathā hi te vidito esa dhammo』』.

Diṭṭhe dhamme anītihaṃ;

Yaṃ viditvā sato caraṃ, tare loke visattikaṃ』』.

『『Tenahātappaṃ karohi, (dhotakāti bhagavā) idheva nipako sato;

"他們祈望讚頌(世尊告富樓那) 持咒和祭祀;為欲而持咒求得利, 他們依祭祀染著有愛; 我說他們未度生老。" "若他們依祭祀(尊者富樓那如是說) 未度生與老尊者; 那麼天與人世間中,誰能度脫生與老尊者; 我問世尊請為說明。" "於世觀察上下已(世尊告富樓那) 於世間何處無動搖; 寂靜無煙無惱無希求,我說彼已度生老。" 富樓那學童之問第三終 彌多求學童之問 "我問世尊請為說明(尊者彌多求如是說) 我知您通達自修習; 這些種種苦從何而來,世間一切諸多形態?" Munīdha nanda kusalā vadanti;

Visenikatvā anīghā nirāsā, caranti ye te munayoti brūmi』』.

Idamavoca bhagavā magadhesu viharanto pāsāṇake cetiye, paricārakasoḷasānaṃ [paricārakasoḷasannaṃ (syā. ka.)] brāhmaṇānaṃ ajjhiṭṭho puṭṭho puṭṭho pañhaṃ [pañhe (sī. pī.)] byākāsi. Ekamekassa cepi pañhassa atthamaññāya dhammamaññāya dhammānudhammaṃ paṭipajjeyya, gaccheyyeva jarāmaraṇassa pāraṃ. Pāraṅgamanīyā ime dhammāti, tasmā imassa dhammapariyāyassa pārāyananteva [pārāyaṇaṃtveva (sī. aṭṭha.)] adhivacanaṃ.

"如此殊勝見者,我帶問而來; 如何觀察世間,死王不得見?" "觀世為空性,目犍連常具念; 拔除我見根,如是度死越; 如是觀世間,死王不得見。" 目犍連學童之問第十五終 賓耆耶學童之問 "我已老無力失容色(尊者賓耆耶如是說) 眼不清耳不適; 愿我不為癡迷而中途消亡, 請說法使我了知; 於此舍離生與老。" "見諸色相受損惱(世尊告賓耆耶) 放逸人為色所壞; 故你賓耆耶不放逸, 舍離色相勿再生。" "四方四維與,上下共十方; 世間無一法,不為您所見聞覺知; 請說法使我了知,於此舍離生與老。" "見諸人為渴愛制(世尊告賓耆耶) 生熱惱為老所逼; 故你賓耆耶不放逸,舍離愛慾勿再生。" 賓耆耶學童之問第十六終 彼岸道贊偈 這是世尊在摩揭陀國巴薩那迦塔所說。應十六位婆羅門侍者之請,對其所問之問題一一作答。若能知曉每一問題之義與法,依法隨法而行,便能到達老死之彼岸。因為這些法能令人到達彼岸,故此法門亦稱為"彼岸道"。 阿耆多帝須彌多,富樓那與彌多求; 度多迦優波私婆,難陀以及醯摩迦。 都提耶雙迦巴,聰慧的阇都干耳; 跋陀羅浮陀耶,還有婆羅門波娑羅; 聰慧的目犍連,及大仙人賓耆耶。 他們親近佛陀,圓滿行持仙人; 發問微妙義,親近最上佛。 佛為他們說,如實答其問; 以問題解答,令婆羅門喜。 他們因具眼,佛陀日種親; 令其生歡喜,近勝慧修梵行。 每一個問題,如佛所教示; 若能如是行,能從此岸到彼岸。 從此岸到彼岸,修習最上道; 此道通彼岸,故名彼岸道。 隨彼岸道偈 "我將誦彼岸道(尊者賓耆耶如是說) 如所見而說,無垢廣慧者; 無慾寂靜龍,何故說妄語。 "已離垢迷惑,舍慢與覆藏; 我今當稱頌,具美德之語。 "除暗佛遍眼,至世邊超一切有; 無漏離眾苦,稱真實我所親近。 "如鳥舍貧林,棲止多果林; 如是我舍淺見者,如鵝達大海。

Paṭhamakaṭṭhavaro varavaggo, dvādasasuttadharo suvibhatto;

Desito cakkhumatā vimalena, suyyati vaggavaro uragoti.

Ratanāmagandho hirimaṅgalanāmo, sucilomakapilo ca brāhmaṇadhammo;

Nāvā [nātha (ka.)] kiṃsīlauṭṭhahano ca, rāhulo ca punapi vaṅgīso.

Sammāparibbājanīyopi cettha, dhammikasuttavaro suvibhatto;

Cuddasasuttadharo dutiyamhi, cūḷakavaggavaroti tamāhu.

5.

Pabbajjapadhānasubhāsitanāmo, pūraḷāso punadeva māgho ca;

Sabhiyaṃ keṇiyameva sallanāmo, vāseṭṭhavaro kālikopi ca.

Nālakasuttavaro suvibhatto, taṃ anupassī tathā punadeva;

Dvādasasuttadharo tatiyamhi, suyyati vaggavaro mahānāmo.

7.

Kāmaguhaṭṭhakaduṭṭhakanāmā , suddhavaro paramaṭṭhakanāmo;

Jarā mettiyavaro suvibhatto, pasūramāgaṇḍiyā purābhedo.

Kalahavivādo ubho viyuhā ca, tuvaṭakaattadaṇḍasāriputtā;

Soḷasasuttadharo catutthamhi, aṭṭhakavaggavaroti tamāhu.

"從前為我解說者,在瞿曇教法之前; '過去如是未來亦然'; 皆是傳聞,一切增長尋思。 "唯一除暗者,光明破暗者; 瞿曇廣慧智,瞿曇廣智慧。 "為我說此法,現見無時限; 滅愛無災患,無處有等比。" "為何須遠離,片刻賓耆耶; 瞿曇廣慧智,瞿曇廣智慧。 "為你說此法,現見無時限; 滅愛無災患,無處有等比。" "我不曾遠離,片刻婆羅門; 瞿曇廣慧智,瞿曇廣智慧。 "為我說此法,現見無時限; 滅愛無災患,無處有等比。 "我以意與眼,晝夜見不放逸婆羅門; 禮敬度夜晚,故我想不離。 "信喜意正念,不離瞿曇教; 廣慧所向方,我即彼方禮。 "我老力已衰,故身不能往; 常以思維去,意志繫於彼。 "臥泥中掙扎,從洲至洲漂; 后見正覺者,度流無諸漏。" "如跋迦利具信解脫,跋陀羅浮陀及阿拉維瞿曇; 如是你也當解脫信心, 賓耆耶你將到達死魔境之彼岸。" "我更加凈信,聞牟尼之言; 揭開覆正覺,無荒穢辯才。 "知曉諸天上,了知勝中勝; 導師解疑問,為認知懷疑。 "不動不搖動,無處有等比; 必定我將去無疑惑,如是持我心解脫。" 彼岸道品第五終 經集總攝 蛇品與牧牛,犀角與耕種; 準陀有非有,賤民與應作; 雪山復夜叉,勝利及牟尼。 第一上品組,十二經善分; 具眼無垢說,聞勝品名蛇。 寶愛香戒吉,淨髮迦毗羅梵法行; 船何戒食端,羅睺羅頻毗娑。 正遍行在此,法經善分別; 十四經持二,名小品勝說。 出家精進善說名,補羅拉沙復摩伽; 舍比耶給孥刺名,婆私吒迦利迦等。 那羅迦經善分別,隨觀如是復重說; 十二經持第三中,聞品勝名大仙說。 欲窟八惡名,凈勝八支名; 老慈善分別,波須羅摩乾地耶前分。 諍論二種分,多拔自杖舍利子; 十六經持第四中,八頌品勝如是說。

Nippakāsayi dhammamadāsi.

Atthapakāsakabyañjanapuṇṇaṃ, dhammamadesesi parakhemajaniyaṃ [varaṃ khamanīyaṃ (ka.)];

Lokahitāya jino dvipadaggo, suttavaraṃ bahudhammavicitraṃ;

Sabbakilesapamocanahetuṃ, desayi suttavaraṃ dvipadaggo.

Byañjanamatthapadaṃ samayuttaṃ [byañjanamatthapadasamayuttaṃ (syā.)], akkharasaññitaopamagāḷhaṃ;

Lokavicāraṇañāṇapabhaggaṃ, desayi suttavaraṃ dvipadaggo.

Rāgamale amalaṃ vimalaggaṃ, dosamale amalaṃ vimalaggaṃ;

Mohamale amalaṃ vimalaggaṃ, lokavicāraṇañāṇapabhaggaṃ;

Desayi suttavaraṃ dvipadaggo.

Klesamale amalaṃ vimalaggaṃ, duccaritamale amalaṃ vimalaggaṃ;

Lokavicāraṇañāṇapabhaggaṃ, desayi suttavaraṃ dvipadaggo.

Āsavabandhanayogākilesaṃ, nīvaraṇāni ca tīṇi malāni;

Tassa kilesapamocanahetuṃ, desayi suttavaraṃ dvipadaggo.

Nimmalasabbakilesapanūdaṃ, rāgavirāgamanejamasokaṃ;

Santapaṇītasududdasadhammaṃ, desayi suttavaraṃ dvipadaggo.

Rāgañca dosakamabhañjitasantaṃ [dosañca bhañjitasantaṃ (syā.)], yonicatuggatipañcaviññāṇaṃ;

Taṇhāratacchadanatāṇalatāpamokkhaṃ [taṇhātalaratacchedanatāṇapamokkhaṃ (syā.)], desayi suttavaraṃ dvipadaggo.

Gambhīraduddasasaṇhanipuṇaṃ, paṇḍitavedaniyaṃ nipuṇatthaṃ;

Lokavicāraṇañāṇapabhaggaṃ, desayi suttavaraṃ dvipadaggo.

Navaṅgakusumamālagīveyyaṃ, indriyajhānavimokkhavibhattaṃ;

Aṭṭhaṅgamaggadharaṃ varayānaṃ, desayi suttavaraṃ dvipadaggo.

Somupamaṃ vimalaṃ parisuddhaṃ, aṇṇavamūpamaratanasucittaṃ;

Pupphasamaṃ ravimūpamatejaṃ, desayi suttavaraṃ dvipadaggo.

9 在宜人的摩揭陀國土上, 此乃積福者所居之勝地; 在精美的石窟精舍中, 眾中至尊世尊安住於此。 10 當兩方信眾齊聚之時, 十二由旬範圍內的大眾; 據說十六婆羅門提問, 就十六問題詢問之事; 他宣說開示了法義。 11 義理明晰且文句圓滿,帶來他人安寧的法義; 為利世間二足尊宣說,殊勝經典具眾多法義; 能除一切煩惱的因由,二足至尊宣說妙經。 12 文句義理皆相應和合,以字彙標記深入譬喻; 能破除世間思慮知見,二足至尊宣說妙經。 13 于貪垢中無垢最清凈,于嗔垢中無垢最清凈; 于癡垢中無垢最清凈,能破除世間思慮知見; 二足至尊宣說妙經。 14 于煩惱垢中無垢最清凈,于惡行垢中無垢最清凈; 能破除世間思慮知見,二足至尊宣說妙經。 15 諸漏結縛煩惱繫縛,以及三種障蓋諸垢; 為解脫彼等煩惱因由,二足至尊宣說妙經。 16 能除盡一切清凈煩惱,離貪無動無憂之法; 寂靜殊勝難見之法,二足至尊宣說妙經。 17 息滅貪慾及嗔怒寂靜,四生五趣諸種識知; 能脫愛慾遮蔽纏縛,二足至尊宣說妙經。 18 深奧難見細緻微妙,智者能解微妙義理; 能破除世間思慮知見,二足至尊宣說妙經。 19 九分教法如花鬘嚴飾,諸根禪定解脫分明; 具足八正道勝乘之法,二足至尊宣說妙經。 20 如月般清凈無垢凈,如海般珍寶莊嚴飾; 如花般燦爛如日光明,二足至尊宣說妙經。

Khemasivaṃ sukhasītalasantaṃ, maccutatāṇaparaṃ paramatthaṃ;
