Ayaṃ kho, bhikkhave, ekadhammo bhāvito bahulīkato ekantanibbidāya virāgāya nirodhāya upasamāya abhiññāya sambodhāya nibbānāya saṃvattatī』』ti.

Seyyathāpi, bhikkhave , nimbabījaṃ vā kosātakibījaṃ vā tittakalābubījaṃ vā allāya pathaviyā [paṭhaviyā (sī. syā. kaṃ. pī.)] nikkhittaṃ yañceva pathavirasaṃ upādiyati yañca āporasaṃ upādiyati sabbaṃ taṃ tittakattāya kaṭukattāya asātattāya saṃvattati. Taṃ kissa hetu? Bījaṃ hissa [vījaṃ (sī. syā. kaṃ. pī.)], bhikkhave, pāpakaṃ. Micchādiṭṭhiko hoti viparītadassano. So bahujanaṃ saddhammā vuṭṭhāpetvā asaddhamme patiṭṭhāpeti. Ayaṃ kho, bhikkhave, ekapuggalo loke uppajjamāno uppajjati bahujanaahitāya bahujanaasukhāya, bahuno janassa anatthāya ahitāya dukkhāya devamanussāna』』nti.

  3. 『『Ekapuggalo, bhikkhave, loke uppajjamāno uppajjati bahujanahitāya bahujanasukhāya, bahuno janassa atthāya hitāya sukhāya devamanussānaṃ. Katamo ekapuggalo? Sammādiṭṭhiko hoti aviparītadassano. So bahujanaṃ asaddhammā vuṭṭhāpetvā saddhamme patiṭṭhāpeti. Ayaṃ kho, bhikkhave, ekapuggalo loke upapajjamāno uppajjati bahujanahitāya bahujanasukhāya, bahuno janassa atthāya hitāya sukhāya devamanussāna』』nti.

  5. 『『Nāhaṃ, bhikkhave, aññaṃ ekapuggalampi samanupassāmi yo evaṃ bahujanaahitāya paṭipanno bahujanaasukhāya, bahuno janassa anatthāya ahitāya dukkhāya devamanussānaṃ yathayidaṃ, bhikkhave, makkhali moghapuriso. Seyyathāpi, bhikkhave, nadīmukhe khippaṃ [khipaṃ (sī. syā. kaṃ. pī.)] uḍḍeyya [oḍḍeyya (sī.), ujjheyya (ka.)] bahūnaṃ macchānaṃ ahitāya dukkhāya anayāya byasanāya; evamevaṃ kho, bhikkhave , makkhali moghapuriso manussakhippaṃ maññe loke uppanno bahūnaṃ sattānaṃ ahitāya dukkhāya anayāya byasanāyā』』ti.

  6. "諸比丘,對於邪見的人,凡是依見而完全受持的身業、語業、意業,以及意志、願望、志向、諸行,這一切法都導向不可意、不可愛、不可樂、無益、痛苦。為何如此?諸比丘,因為他的見解是惡的。諸比丘,譬如楝樹種子、苦瓜種子或苦葫蘆種子,種在濕潤的土地裡,吸收了地中的養分和水分,所結的果實都是苦的、辛辣的、不甜美的。為何如此?諸比丘,因為種子是惡的。同樣地,諸比丘,對於邪見的人,凡是依見而完全受持的身業、語業、意業,以及意志、願望、志向、諸行,這一切法都導向不可意、不可愛、不可樂、無益、痛苦。為何如此?諸比丘,因為他的見解是惡的。"

  7. "諸比丘,對於正見的人,凡是依見而完全受持的身業、語業、意業,以及意志、願望、志向、諸行,這一切法都導向可意、可愛、可樂、有益、快樂。為何如此?諸比丘,因為他的見解是善的。諸比丘,譬如甘蔗種子、稻米種子或葡萄種子,種在濕潤的土地裡,吸收了地中的養分和水分,所結的果實都是甜美的、可口的、令人愉悅的。為何如此?諸比丘,因為種子是善的。同樣地,諸比丘,對於正見的人,凡是依見而完全受持的身業、語業、意業,以及意志、願望、志向、諸行,這一切法都導向可意、可愛、可樂、有益、快樂。為何如此?諸比丘,因為他的見解是善的。" 第二品終。 第三品

  9. "諸比丘,世間若有一人出現,則會給許多人帶來利益、快樂,給眾生帶來有益、利益、安樂,包括天人。這一人是誰?即正見者,持不顛倒見解者。他使許多人離開非法,安立於正法。諸比丘,這就是那個若出現於世間,會給許多人帶來利益、快樂,給眾生帶來有益、利益、安樂,包括天人的一人。"
  10. "諸比丘,我不見有任何其他一法如此大過,如同此法,諸比丘,即邪見。諸比丘,邪見是最大的過失。"
  11. "諸比丘,我不見有任何其他一人,如此給許多人帶來不利,給眾生帶來不樂、無益、不利、痛苦,包括天人,如同此人,諸比丘,即末伽梨·瞿舍羅這個愚人。諸比丘,譬如有人在河口設定漁網,會給許多魚帶來不利、痛苦、災難、禍害。同樣地,諸比丘,末伽梨·瞿舍羅這個愚人,好比是出現在人間的漁網,給許多眾生帶來不利、痛苦、災難、禍害。"

  12. 『『Durakkhāte , bhikkhave, dhammavinaye yo ca samādapeti [samādāpeti (?)] yañca samādapeti yo ca samādapito tathattāya paṭipajjati sabbe te bahuṃ apuññaṃ pasavanti. Taṃ kissa hetu? Durakkhātattā, bhikkhave, dhammassā』』ti.

  13. 『『Svākkhāte , bhikkhave, dhammavinaye yo ca samādapeti yañca samādapeti yo ca samādapito tathattāya paṭipajjati sabbe te bahuṃ puññaṃ pasavanti. Taṃ kissa hetu? Svākkhātattā, bhikkhave, dhammassā』』ti.
