『『Pañcaṅgasamannāgato , bhikkhave, bhikkhu pañcaṅgasamannāgataṃ senāsanaṃ sevamāno bhajamāno nacirasseva āsavānaṃ khayā anāsavaṃ cetovimuttiṃ paññāvimuttiṃ diṭṭheva dhamme sayaṃ abhiññā sacchikatvā upasampajja vihareyya.
『『Kathañca, bhikkhave, bhikkhu pañcaṅgasamannāgato hoti? 『『Kathañca, bhikkhave, bhikkhu caturāpasseno hoti? Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu saṅkhāyekaṃ paṭisevati, saṅkhāyekaṃ adhivāseti, saṅkhāyekaṃ parivajjeti, saṅkhāyekaṃ vinodeti. Evaṃ kho, bhikkhave, bhikkhu caturāpasseno hoti.

『『Kathañca, bhikkhave, bhikkhu suvimuttacitto hoti? Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhuno rāgā cittaṃ vimuttaṃ hoti, dosā cittaṃ vimuttaṃ hoti, mohā cittaṃ vimuttaṃ hoti. Evaṃ kho, bhikkhave, bhikkhu suvimuttacitto hoti.

Idha , bhikkhave, bhikkhu 『rāgo me pahīno ucchinnamūlo tālāvatthukato anabhāvaṃkato āyatiṃ anuppādadhammo』ti pajānāti, doso me pahīno…pe… 『moho me pahīno ucchinnamūlo tālāvatthukato anabhāvaṃkato āyatiṃ anuppādadhammo』ti pajānāti. Evaṃ kho, bhikkhave, bhikkhu suvimuttapañño hoti.

"比丘們,這十種是聖者住處,過去聖者曾住、現在聖者正住、未來聖者將住。是哪十種?在此,比丘們,比丘已離五支,具足六支,一防護,四依止,除遣各別真實,完全捨棄尋求,無濁思惟,身行輕安,心善解脫,慧善解脫。 "比丘們,何謂比丘已離五支?在此,比丘們,比丘已斷欲貪,已斷嗔恚,已斷昏沉睡眠,已斷掉舉惡作,已斷疑惑。比丘們,如是比丘已離五支。 "比丘們,何謂比丘具足六支?在此,比丘們,比丘以眼見色已,不喜不憂,住于舍,具念正知。以耳聞聲已...以鼻嗅香已...以舌嘗味已...以身觸所觸已...以意識法已,不喜不憂,住于舍,具念正知。比丘們,如是比丘具足六支。 "比丘們,何謂比丘一防護?在此,比丘們,比丘具足念防護心。比丘們,如是比丘一防護。 "比丘們,何謂比丘四依止?在此,比丘們,比丘思擇而受用一事,思擇而忍受一事,思擇而遠離一事,思擇而除遣一事。比丘們,如是比丘四依止。 "比丘們,何謂比丘除遣各別真實?在此,比丘們,比丘對諸沙門婆羅門各別真實,即:'世界是常'或'世界是無常','世界有邊'或'世界無邊','命即是身'或'命異身異','如來死後有'或'如來死後無','如來死後亦有亦無'或'如來死後非有非無',所有這些都已除去、拋棄、舍離、吐出、解脫、斷除、出離。比丘們,如是比丘除遣各別真實。 "比丘們,何謂比丘完全捨棄尋求?在此,比丘們,比丘已斷欲求,已斷有求,梵行求已寂止。比丘們,如是比丘完全捨棄尋求。 "比丘們,何謂比丘無濁思惟?在此,比丘們,比丘已斷欲尋,已斷恚尋,已斷害尋。比丘們,如是比丘無濁思惟。 "比丘們,何謂比丘身行輕安?在此,比丘們,比丘斷樂斷苦,先前的喜憂已滅,不苦不樂,舍念清凈,具足第四禪而住。比丘們,如是比丘身行輕安。 "比丘們,何謂比丘心善解脫?在此,比丘們,比丘心從貪慾解脫,心從嗔恚解脫,心從愚癡解脫。比丘們,如是比丘心善解脫。 "比丘們,何謂比丘慧善解脫?在此,比丘們,比丘了知'我的貪慾已斷,已斷根本,如斷多羅樹頭,成為非有,于未來不生之法','我的嗔恚已斷...(中略)...'我的愚癡已斷,已斷根本,如斷多羅樹頭,成為非有,于未來不生之法'。比丘們,如是比丘慧善解脫。
『『Ye hi keci, bhikkhave, atītamaddhānaṃ ariyā ariyāvāse āvasiṃsu, sabbe te imeva dasa ariyāvāse āvasiṃsu; ye hi keci, bhikkhave, anāgatamaddhānaṃ ariyā ariyāvāse āvasissanti, sabbe te imeva dasa ariyāvāse āvasissanti; ye hi [yepi (?)] keci, bhikkhave , etarahi ariyā ariyāvāse āvasanti, sabbe te imeva dasa ariyāvāse āvasanti.
